Today's wind turbine concepts focus mainly on the cost per megawatt hour (availability and price for each component). Considering both synchronous and asynchronous generator design, there is an increasing demand for more technically advanced and robust sensors. The LEINE LINDE SYSTEMS sensors which are used to detect the rotational speed and position of the generator rotor, are proven quality products having been used in the wind industry for many years. Resistant to shock and vibration, salt water and dirt, and extreme temperatures, the sensors are available with a wide selection of conventional incremental and fieldbus interfaces.
